Relatively self-explanatory, these creative images and
animations can be simple and static or dynamic and highly
interactive. They can include sophisticated rich media
programming that is stimulating and entertaining, or pull-down
menus and forms that can be used to capture information and
gather opt-in email addresses. The Interactive Advertising
Bureau, a trade industry association, has recently adopted
several new ad unit sizes. For most clients, we recommend
staying within the standard 468x60, 120x60, 120x90 and
88x31-pixel sizes commonly found on most sites. The newer ad
units, while provocative in their possibilities, are generally
found on B2B sites at this point and haven’t been universally
adopted by B2C sites as of this writing. If necessary, we can
also buy impressions and clicks in fixed geographic areas to
avoid getting useless, out-of-area or out-of-country impressions
and clicks that have no value to the client.
